Co-housing in the Mountains

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Cohousing is a type of intentional community where a group of people have
organised to create a neighbourhood, an alternative way of living for ordinary
people which is based on mutual respect for each other & the environment.
Cohousing residents are consciously committed to living as a community without
scarifying the privacy of the individual households as such the physical design
encourages both social contact & individual space. The private homes contain all
the features of conventional homes, but residents also have access to extensive
common facilities such as open space, courtyards, a playground , workshops and a
common house.

The beautiful scenery of the Blue Mountains, affordable
land and a sense of community which already exists
provides a great platform for establishing a Cohousing Community.

There is an introductory talk to which all are invited to be held in Lawson.

Introduction to cohousing talk
Saturday the 25th of September 2-4pm
Mavis Wood Hall, Mid mountains community centre
